Our training philosophy
Training your dog doesn’t have to be a battle of wills. We help you create a great relationship with your dog by teaching you and helping you apply the techniques that we offer at Four Corners Dog Training. We invite you to learn and explore our pages. We treat all dogs as individuals based on their needs and desires.
Our philosophy is that all dogs are different, but all dogs can be trained well! Dogs are creatures of habit and once you have the habits you need to train a dog down pat, you know the dog will listen to you for life. Throwing treats or little toys around like confetti does NOT create good behavior in your dog. It simply creates an offer for your dog to chase things on his own terms. Training should be based on communication skills and leadership, not just rewards.

We’ve had one session with Tim for our two puppies and so far they are different dogs. Tim has shown us how to keep them calm when coming out of the crate, and started working on multiple commands already with them. We’ve already booked additional sessions.
My Husband and I rescued Finn about 1.5 months ago. He has been an amazing pup but has a couple bad habits. We met Tim today , currently our concerns were walking him(crazy pulling). After his first session he was walking like a pro! Of course we have homework and need to be consistent but Finn has responded really well to Tim and cannot wait for our next session! My dog 4 years old desperately needed socializing skills as she was unexpectedly exposed to my mother in law’s new 4 month old puppy for a month. After 5 days I needed help. I found Tim and he came over the same day and began his magic! The dogs were very into learning. After one session I was extremely pleased!! I scheduled another session to continue the transformation. I highly recommend Tim.
We have had one session with Tim, and I am blown away by the progress already seen. My dog Zoey is fearful/anxious of other dogs, barks excessively at the door when people come over, and pulls on the leash. After just one session with Tim, she has already demonstrated a calmer demeanor at the front door and is far more responsive to verbal commands. Additionally, I took her for a walk just two days after the session, and using the same tools and techniques that Tim used, we had our BEST WALK EVER.
Tim did a fabulous job with my two pups Jack and Jarvis. He came to my house always on time and super professional. My dogs are now so much better behaved and know basic commands such as sit, stay, leave it, and can even now walk down my stairs without needing to be carried like babies. He is a true dog expert. You would think he was speaking a different language to them. 5 stars. Life changing dog trainer!
Worked with Tim for the first time today and it was an absolute pleasure. The difference we saw in our pup within even a hour was incredible. Night and day difference with our very reactive dog. Highly recommend Four Corners Dog Training. Literally within minutes he had my new golden retriever puppy sitting and laying on command.
